Remick's Watermelon Martini

I'm not always a martini girl.  In fact, I'd say that I'm almost never a martini girl.  That being said, I am highly recommending the watermelon-infused martini at Remick's Restaurant in Quincy.  The bartender recommended it on a hot, quiet night at the bar, so this post is really a shout-out to his stellar recommendation. In the summer, the bar staff at Remick's infuses vodka with various fruits, and we came by on watermelon night.  The bartender cut the melon vodka with a splash of lemonade and garnished with a lemon.

The drink was decidedly simple and uncomplicated, traits that are much-appreciated during the summer.  Additionally, the watermelon was surprisingly subtle.  After the sugary, artificial...everything...that we're used to everywhere we go, the first taste was kind of an "Is that it?" let down.  With a few more tastes, I quickly realized that this is a real drink with real flavors. On a hot day or night in the summer, I can't imagine anything more appealing than another Remick's fruit-infused martini.
